Feb 7,11 (MM: Valentine Cards)

Today was our 1st Masterpiece Monday!! It was a total blast!! I decided to wait until Skylar got home. I got a pack of 6 empty cards & envelopes, and Skylar only wanted 1 for her friend.
I gave Sebastian 1 card at a time, and put some Crayola Washable Markers in front of him. I just let him have free reign on how he wanted to *design* his cards. I was close by for some help when he couldn't put a lid on the marker though, haha
Next we did the outside. Again, I gave him one card at a time, I drew a heart on the outside using school glue. Next I let him shake glitter all over the hearts. He really enjoyed this part!
Surprisingly enough the mess was not too bad. The table was easily wipe-offable, and a quick vacum removed all unwanted glitter.
(Skylar's area and hands were actually messier, haha)
All in all, this was a total success!! I'm looking forward to next week!! 

Masterpiece Mondays

Calling All Artists!

So, I have already been doing crafts w/Sebastian off and on, but have wanted a slightly more formal format for it. Then a good friend (Rachel) mentioned that she was going to do an art project with her daughter about once a week. It was great idea!! So Masterpiece Monday was born. I will do *something* creative every Monday w/Sebastian. Skylar thinks this is a great idea, so I'm sure she will featured in this section as well!!

And so a blog was born

So I have tried many blogs and websites trying to find the perfect layout for the blog I had in mind, and I think I found it!!
This blog was born because I am the proudest mommy you will ever meet. I am a Stay At Home Mommy, and enjoy every minute. Currently I have 2 AMAZING children, but who knows what the future holds?
Skylar is my 1st monster. She is 8 years old and a lil mini me. She is in the 3rd grade. She is smart, funny, caring and has the best heart of anyone I have ever met. She loves to draw, create, read, play her DSi and animals. Animals are her world. She can spend hours talking about which animal she needs next and why.  Her newest animal obsession is a tie between a bearded dragon and a pig. She now has an Egyptian Mau cat (Potter), a Winter White hamster (Harmony) and 2 Goldfish. (Mya and Sherbert) 
Sebastian is my 2nd monster and is 15 months old. He is a ball of energy. He amazes me daily with how fast he is learning and growing. He is a full fledge toddler now, walking, talking and terrorizing the world. He can sign, point to body parts, eat with a fork, and he even has the uncany ability to completely melt you with one look. He gives the best cuddles. He knows what he wants and will stop at nothing until it's his.  He has me wrapped for sure.
