Summer Fun: Eat Outside

At the beginning of the Summer, Sister Monster and I wrote a list of 50 activities we wanted to accomplish. That did not happen, sadly. But we did do what we could and had a blast with what we did get to do. One of the things on our list was to eat at outdoor restaurant. While we have been to Moe's a number of times, we had never eaten in their Outdoor Section. (Hubby and I chose this place simply cuz it was closed off and Brother Monster was caged in, haha)
We all enjoyed this a lot and hope to do it again soon.
Do y'all like outdoor eating?

Splashing Through Summer

Sorry I have been slacking on posting.
We have had a pretty chill summer, no real schedules. Even forgot what day it was at times, lol.
Now it's August and time to refocus. Back to school for Sister Monster and all that.
Hope you all haven't given up on this lil blog and had a great summer too!

June Newbie: Grammas Pizza

Last week, when going to the drive in, we stopped off at Grammas Pizza.  We thought it would be a great "something new" to try.
The restaurant was very small, in a quaint cozy sort of way. I got it to go, so I got to check out the ambience while they made it.
I ordered two of their $7.95 one topping pizza specials. Total was nearly $20. Doesn't add up? Well that's because they consider "cheese" a topping. Therefore my extra cheese pizza contained TWO toppings. The pepperoni? Yup, two toppings cuz it contained cheese as well. That was really strange to me.I had never heard of that before.
Once we got to the drive in, I opened the box and wow! Lots of cheese (woot woot!!) And a buttery garlicky crust, also the perfect amount of sauce.

Worth the extra topping price?? Oh yeah! Heck yeah! The pizza was AMAZING!

Miss Sophie's Fever Story

So last Thursday, Sophie developed a fever. Been there, done that so I treat and it helps a lil. Day 3 still fever. Pedi always says call after that. I do, get her an appointment. She is seen on Day 5, hoping fever would be out of her system, a fever is gone celebrating rash would take its place. Nope.
102.7 at the dr office. That was her lowest unmedicated temp.
Pedi was not happy. Roseola was a hope cuz then there'd be an explanation for the fevers. No rash. Ear infection? Nope perfect ears, glads, belly. Next up was a chest xray. Oh looky, lungs and chest all clear too. So why is my baby running so hot!?
They do blood work next. (But they did match her gauze to her dress! Sick babies are still stylish babies) Blood count was ridiculous, as the pedi put it. Said there was infection in her body but we didn't know "where". Sadly they had to catheterize her to check for uti. They said since she wasn't showing signs of a uti they did this last. Well, she was dry. Fevers dehydrated her and they only got 1/2" of urine out.
They try to do dip test but it wasn't 100% conclusive due to not enough urine. They are "thinking" its a uti though, and are treating her as such. She got a shot in her thigh with meds and a 10 day supply of Bactrin. Supposedly this is pretty aggressive for a uti but will attack infection of any kind so it should help her regardless.
We have the urine and rest of blood going to the lab though and should see results in a few days so we have a more clear answer.
Fingers crossed for fast answers and an ever faster recovery!!
Love you babygirl!
